Define displacement.

Displacement is defined as the distance or length or path covered by a body in a particular direction is called Displacement. For eg. 

The body is moving from point A to point B (that is in a particular  direction)  shown in this diagram 

A----->------>------B

Displacement has value is +ve or -ve or zero.
